Making believers of Jesus Christ in order to change the world is the Methodist Church’s mission. Jesus Christ’s status as the Son of God, the world’s Savior, and the Lord of all is confirmed by the church. In order to be a loving and just servant of Jesus Christ, the church works to create social institutions that are in line with the gospel, treat the ill, feed the hungry, care for the stranger, free the oppressed, and be a compassionate presence. Through acts of mercy, the church also promotes charity and assistance for the ill, disadvantaged, and afflicted.
Vision
Claim that Jesus Christ is the Lord of all, the Son of God, and the world’s Savior. Respect and uphold the freedom of religion for people of all faiths. As followers of Jesus Christ, live a life of justice and love. Create societal systems that are in line with the gospel.
Create followers of Jesus Christ in order to change the world.
